Kids Maker Club is for children aged 6 – 16 who want to learn more about technology and making. Young Makers mix structured learning with free making to gain the skills they’ll need to develop their own projects

Wednesdays 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Kids Maker Club

Our kids maker club is for kids with a keen interest in technology, computer programming, animation and digital media. Members are able to take part in group tutorials to learn basic skills in a variety of software and hardware. 1 to 1 support is also available for each member as well as plenty of handouts and worksheets for self directed learning. We know that every child is different and with a range of ages from 6 – 16, each member has their own area of interest and expertise. We encourage our group to work together and learn from each other. Our members are given the space and freedom to explore technology at their own pace, while having the expertise and knowledge of staff available when it’s needed.

Skill Achievements

Each year members will work through a 6 week programme in each of our main areas: Coding, Electronics, Making, Digital Media and Design, bringing together a broad range of skills so they can work on a final project to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.

What to Expect During Your Visit

5:30 – The session will start with a quick catch up with the whole group around the main table.

6:30 – We’ll take a break and open the tuck shops for refreshments.

6:50 Free Making / Play – Self directed learning, project work or chilling in the video game zone.

7:15 – We’ll all come back together to share any finished work, and find out what we’ll be doing the following week.
